About Marcus Hoh

Artist Statement

I am a midwest based producer interested in creating music that blurs genre while eliciting feelings of nostalgia from the listener. I find inspiration in all music and sound and try to make my music a collection of all things I personally enjoy about what I have heard.

I began playing piano at 4 years old and have stuck with music ever since. I began to create music in GarageBand my freshman year of high school after purchasing a guitar microphone. After learning my friend, Ben, had a beautiful singing voice, we teamed up and formed Molasses. After releasing our first song, “Your Shine,” we added our drummer, Ethan. I purchased a copy of Logic Pro X and began working with audio engineer and producer of popular contemporary, Boy Pablo.

In my time since Molasses, I have produced many demos and hope to have enough to soon form a cohesive work. I will continue to try and create music that transcends genre while telling stories from my life.
